Golowji
Acrylic on Board, 10cm x 10cm
£100
When exploring Newlyn and finding compositions, the higher you go often yields the most interesting results. While climbing up the steep hills, looking over rooftops towards the harbour, I found the balance between the angles of the roof apexes and the steadfast pier and lighthouse really interesting. This small painting is the result of such a discovery. Titled ‘Golowji’ which is lighthouse in Cornish, the composition is complimented by colour experimentation. The result is a very punchy little piece which will liven up any little corner!
This painting was exhibited at the Summerhouse Gallery in Marazion, Cornwall as part of the Newlyn Calling exhibition in 2025. It is signed and titled to the reverse.
Framed in a white tray frame, ready to hang.
